The Calvert Marine Museum
is a public, non-profit, educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation,
research, and interpretation of the culture and natural history of Southern Maryland.
Their mission is to interpret three maritime themes: regional Miocene paleontology, estuarine life on the tidal Patuxent River and adjacent Chesapeake Bay, and maritime history of these waters.

The Twin Beach Players (TBP), Incorporated is a nonprofit community theater group based in the Chesapeake Beach and North Beach Maryland. The Arts Council of Calvert County
Council of Calvert County is one of 24 county arts
councils in the state of Maryland. State and local
funding, in addition to membership fees, allows us to
offer grants to arts organizations, as well as nonprofit
501(c)3 organizations and schools offering arts
programming. The Arts Council grants $20,000 - $25,000
each year, based on criteria established by the state.
